# Third-party notices: Commander Genius port

**Status:** Provisional inventory. Not a legal conclusion; if it goes wider,
the record gets reviewed per architecture §23.

This package builds the Commander Genius engine. None of the game data is
bundled; original Commander Keen data is user-supplied.

## Assets

- `vfsroot/` (global UI graphics, menu fonts, achievements, Lua scripts) ships
  with the engine under the same GPL as Commander Genius. These are engine
  assets, not original Keen data.
- Commander Keen, id Software, and Apogee names, artwork, and data are the
  property of their owners. The port does not redistribute them.

## Open items

- Confirm the exact GPL version and "or later" wording.
- Resolve DBOPL/DOSBox copyleft expectations.
- Review shareware redistribution (Keen 1, 4, Dreams) before any demo
  edition; otherwise bring-your-own-data only.
- Assess GPL/App Store compatibility before any native distribution.
